i’m on a photo frenzy. i am taking pictures of everything and everyone…both film and digital. of course this does NOT mean i’m taking quality shots…just means i’m taking shots. i’m sure i am getting annoying to people now that my camera stays out. and i’m pretty much over the shooting strangers bullshit…i mean what are they going to do? hit me?
snap snap snap snap.
i took an image today that i love and i don’t know why i love it but i love it. something about it just resonates, especially with my trip coming up in just about 35 days! perhaps these so-called metaphors and analogies that i’m prone to make up at a moment’s notice to make some arbitrary point are simply reflections of my feelings. have i forgotten how to properly communicate in a straight forward manner? or have i always used this roundabout method.
i finally tested out some color film. not sure why i keep gravitating back to film when i hate it so much, but i figure if i can just condition myself to not require clarity so much then i can appreciate film more. the grains and the underlying emotion. we’ll see how that works out.
until then i’ll just keep snapping away and i’ll keep cataloging whatever this is inside of me that is dying to come out.
