holy shit!
in 42 days i’ll be at the airport heading to london! i will have a backpack full of essentials and a pulley-bag for the time i’ll spend in london/paris. no clue just yet at what i’ll do with that stuff before i head onward to the pilgrimage…i’m leaning toward mailing it home. we’ll see how that goes.
in a few days i will be receiving a brand new camera. i didn’t want one…wasn’t plotting and for damn sure am not super excited about it. but yes, a new camera will be arriving at my domicile in the near future. it will be my first full-frame camera and it comes with my first “L” series lens. something about this transition into “pro”-ish machinery is problematic. bothersome really.
this will be the center point for the progression that is my photography, artistic and otherwise. it comes with an interesting L-series lens, 24-105mm. i’m not overly excited about that since i believe its an f4, but i am interested to see how things pan out. it should help to make the images from the journey a bit better. we’ll see. i’m going to sell my T1i body once the mark gets here. no need for two carnivores in the house.
a few of my friends are annoyed i didn’t get my hands on the nikon D700. but um….nikon? don’t they know me any at all? geekish babbling aside, i’m excited to be getting the new machine. can’t wait to test it out on any and everyone.

anyway, in 42 days i’m a figment. until then…there is much to do.
